Home IMS is about conecting devices over an IP
network.  The site is designed to answer questions
from anyone desiring to connect many different
types of devices.

The web site will track efforts to connect up devices
over IP, using file storage and shared Internet
access for various purposes.
 While the steps
outlined here are not the only way, it will certainly be
one way of completing the task.

IMS stands for "IP Multimedia Subsystem" as
defined by the
3GPP Third Generation Patnership
Program.


The application in the home is for the access
layer to be computers, game consoles, wireless
handsets, phone system software and other
devices that are network capable.

Control layer devices will be the router, and cable
modem.  Eventually a fire wall appliance will be
added.

Service layer will be file servers initially, storing
data files of various types.  An SQL database to
catalog locations of different items.
